Ladies, it doesn’t matter if you rarely spend a day by the sea. If you want to get amazing beachy waves, it’s simpler than you think.
Stars like Chrissy Teigen, Gisele Bundchen, Ciara, Zoe Saldana, and Kristin Cavallari have shown off tousled, sexy hair on the red carpet. Here at Twisted Sisters Beauty Salon in Westfield, Indiana, we’ve included three D.I.Y. techniques you can use to create a classic beach wave hairstyle.
Curling Iron Beach Waves
To get this lovely look, you’ll need a curling iron with a one-inch barrel diameter. We recommend applying a heat protectant spray before you begin.
Always start with curling the back of your hair first. Wrap a one-inch section around the wand and away from your face. You can even wrap wider sections depending on how loose you desire your waves to be. Leave the ends out for that tousled, natural appearance.
After you’re done curling your entire head, find several strands that need a little retouch, and this time, wrap the strands toward your face to switch up the curl pattern.
When you’re finished, spritz on hairspray or texturizing sea salt spray for further enhancement.
Clip-In Extensions Beach Waves
Give a blast of heat protection spray to your natural hair and your clip-on extensions first. Next, put in your extensions as you usually would by starting at the nape of your neck and working your way up. The last clip-ins go around your hairline for ideal volume and length proportion.
Take your curling wand, and begin wrapping one-inch sections of your hair extensions away from your face. Leave an inch at the ends. To seamlessly blend your natural hair with your clip-ins, only create a slight bend to your natural ends. Concentrate more on curling the clip-ins.
For looser waves, use less heat. For defined waves, hold the hair tighter around the barrel.
No-Heat Beach Waves
You can achieve gorgeous beachy waves by avoiding heat styling. Spritz texturiz
